My name is Jessie Barsky. I am an undergraduate senior studying Electronic Media and Broadcasting at Appalachian State University, graduating May 2025.

This website is a showcase of my work, including my own edit for a scene I have written, a radio interview package I have recorded and edited, and a portion of a script I have written.

The video is an edit of a scene I wrote titled Jimmy the Conqueror. This project was part of a simple assignment for a Camera and Lighting course that I personally wanted to spend more time on for my own practice. While I had little control in the way of camera direction, I did both the writing and editing for the video.

The audio project is a radio package showcasing an interview with the Appalachian State University - Hayes School of Music jazz faculty. This project was my final project for an Audio Production course. I recorded all the audio used in the interview and edited it into the package as sampled.

The writing is an example of my work for an original television pilot script. The script was written during a Scriptwriting course with the goal of fitting the standards and timeframe for typical television programming. I later submitted the script to the 2025 BEA Festival of Media Arts in the Student Original Television Pilot Scriptwriting Competition and earned a 3rd place prize. The work is copyrighted, however, I am still interested in developing it further. As such, I am only sharing a portion of it, and the full script is available upon request.
